God has given us the right to take personal desires or ideas and live by them. God has created man beautifully and has given him a superior decision-making intellect by which he can choose the right thing according to his needs between good and bad. God has also said that if you like good things there is a reward and if you like bad things there is a punishment.
We find many examples in the Bible where we clearly see that God has given man the ability to exercise free will. God placed Adam and Eve in the beautiful garden and gave them the freedom to live as they wished. On the other hand, we see that in the Old Testament God accepted the nation of Israel as his own children but they expressed their choice by worshiping idols as a form of disobedience to God.
Through the teachings of Jesus in the New Testament, we see that Jesus invited mankind to be saved from sin but he never forced anyone, he gave freedom to everyone and according to that freedom he taught that you who believe in me will see eternal life.
The Bible teaches us that we have personal opinions or freedom to make choices but with that freedom, we have certain responsibilities that are very important for us to fulfill because God will hold all our works and He will judge us.
