We live in a world where people are suffering from sickness and financial problems and as children of God we must take care of these people. Lord Jesus taught us that when a person is in need, we must stand by him and help him, that is our true identity.
God’s Word teaches us that those who help the poor lend to the Lord, and the Lord repays them. Lord Jesus told us that on the day of judgment, he will judge all people according to their different deeds. So we should help the poor and helpless and sick people because it is our duty.
As we are changed by believing in Jesus, we must do various good works that please God. If we always think about ourselves then we will never get the opportunity to serve the sick and poor people. Let us help the poor, helpless, and sick people with what we have because God will bless us through this work.
The following Bible verses make it clear that caring for the poor and sick is not only a moral obligation but also a way of showing one’s love to God.
