Jesus knew his Father’s will so nothing distracted him from doing his father’s will. Jesus did so by not relying on himself and by not seeking his own will. Jesus was totally and absolutely dependent upon his Father for everything he did. Though he was tired, thirsty, and hungry, his father’s will was more important to him than his own rest and personal comfort.
Nothing stopped him from doing his father’s will. Jesus Christ left us an example that we should follow his steps. Therefore, we are to do his will the same way that Jesus did the work of his father. We should know God’s will, surrender our will to his, seek then to do his will, and do it by God’s grace and strength.
