We praise the Lord for creating us in his likeness. We can see how God created other creatures in Genesis, and how man was made to be utterly distinct from them. We are superior to every other animal.
The man was created as a perfect being in the beginning. But sin undermined God’s brilliant design. We have hope that even though we are currently far from the Lord, we will surely encounter him.
As a gift from the Lord, human life should be respected and we should live a holy life. The notion that we are God’s direct creation is not shared by a lot of individuals.
God is our creator and our defender, so as long as we are here, we must worship him. He deserves our respect and admiration, just as we do with the body we currently possess, which we also got from him.
