Salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. Good works are not the basis of salvation but evidence of a transformed life saved by grace through faith.
In other words, even though none can guarantee salvation, good deeds are a byproduct of it. When a person accepts Jesus Christ as Saviour and is reborn, the Holy Spirit starts to act in his life, resulting in the accomplishment of good deeds.
Jesus further emphasized the significance of doing good deeds by declaring that our actions will determine how we are judged. These good deeds are carried out, however, to praise God and benefit others rather than to secure salvation.
The following Bible verses will help us to know the importance of good works that we should do. But we need to remember that good works apart from Jesus will not give us salvation.
