The life that we have is a special gift from God. We need to know that we are here on this earth not just an accident but we are here with a divine plan. God has sent us on this earth to live a life to make ourselves worthy to be with him.
Many people think that they are just like other creatures but we are not like that. The Bible says God created us in his own image and his creation was done with a purpose where we were created to live with him.
Now we are far from the Lord and unable to see him due to the sin that we have obtained by birth. But this does not mean we are hopeless. Though we are far from the Lord still God has made awesome plans for us to bring us back into his home.
How can we know the purpose of our lives and what to do after knowing our purpose? Let us read the following scriptures that will guide us to know it in detail.
Isaiah 45:18(KJV) “For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.”
By his wisdom and knowledge, the Lord alone created this marvelous world. He made it with a specific purpose in mind, and he placed man in charge. So we must understand why we are here and what we must do in order to carry out God’s plan for us.
Jeremiah 29:11(KJV) “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
We can’t claim to be here for no reason at all. However, our purpose in life is to carry out God’s plan. To proceed, we must ask him and seek his advice. Because he created everything, we may trust that He is also thinking about us.
Romans 12:2(KJV) “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
We have God’s promises and must separate ourselves from the world’s traditions and teachings. Those who do not walk with the Lord will perish after they die. However, we have hope, and we will undoubtedly enjoy our life with the Lord.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14(KJV) “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”
Our primary responsibility is to fear God and follow all of his commands. We will not be successful in the eyes of the Lord until we do this. All of our actions are visible to God, and we cannot hide them from him.
1 Corinthians 10:31(KJV) “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
What we do every day must bring glory to the Lord. All of our efforts should be to praise God, and we must not take for granted the blessings that he has bestowed upon us.
Romans 8:28(KJV) “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
When obstacles arise in our lives, we may become perplexed. We begin to wonder why these things are occurring to us, despite the fact that I am walking with the Lord. According to the Bible, everything that happens in our lives has a purpose, and God is well aware of it.
Proverbs 16:9(KJV) “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.”
Our own ambitions and thoughts are filthy and incapable of bringing us life. The Lord, on the other hand, knows what is healthy for us and what is not. He performs his duties in accordance with his knowledge, and we must be content with God’s work.
1 Corinthians 2:9(KJV) “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
God is intelligent, and all of his creations are magnificent. We may see them and enable God to operate through them in our lives so that we can participate in his plan. We must accept everything of his works that he wishes to bring into our lives without reservation.
Psalm 37:23(KJV) “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.”
God’s eyes are everywhere, and he is aware of every detail of his own people. He will not let the righteous die, but he will sometimes let them suffer in order for them to understand his strength and deliver power.
Proverbs 19:21(KJV) “There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.”
We have so many plans in our heads, but God knows what is best. If we allow God to work in our lives, we will be blessed. He is always good and will never let us down if we entirely trust him.
Proverbs 23:18(KJV) “For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.”
The Lord is aware of everything, and he will bless us with all good things. Patience and faith are required to attain those. Because God wants us to trust him, which allows us to witness his marvelous deeds.
Isaiah 14:24(KJV) “The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand.”
Rather than stressing about our lives, we should come to God with a humble heart. When we allow him to utilize us for his job, he will begin to work in our life. When God affects our hearts and performs amazing acts, we will notice a significant difference.
Psalm 32:8(KJV) “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”
We are nothing and lost without God. He is our hope, the Prince of Peace, and if we abandon him, we are abandoning peace and life. Let us come before the Lord in trust and watch how he makes us joyful and blessed.
Ephesians 2:10(KJV) “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
Although the people around us may not recognize us, we are unique in God’s eyes. We’ve come to do good deeds and to bring glory to God’s name through our deeds.
Ephesians 1:4-5(KJV) “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,”
God had completed all of his plans before creation. He was aware of how men would be fallen, and he would come to their aid. Now we must live according to God’s instructions.
Philippians 1:6(KJV) “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
We’ve come to bring lost souls into the Kingdom of God. Our lives have a purpose, and we are to serve God and follow him until we die.
Ephesians 1:9-10(KJV) “Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him.”
We can enjoy our lives in heaven because Jesus died on the cross for us. We were supposed to reach into hell, but Jesus’ life transformed the situation. Now it’s up to us to follow Jesus’ instructions and live the manner he taught us through his followers.
Psalm 138:8(KJV) “The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.”
God’s kindness and grace are manifested in the lives of believers who heed the words. By sacrificing our own desires, we are to receive gifts from above. When we place our wills in the hands of the Lord and seek His face, God begins to operate in our lives.
Matthew 5:13-16(KJV) “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
We are the salt of the earth, and we must have our own unique quality that draws people to Jesus. To make others understand who Jesus is and what he has done for all of humanity, we must live a Christ-centered life.
Jeremiah 1:5(KJV) “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
Since the time we were formed in our mother’s womb, God has known every aspect of us. When things do not go as planned, we ought not to be concerned. Because the Lord is our creator and guardian, we must have faith and trust in him.
Psalm 57:2(KJV) “I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.”
God hears our prayers and responds according to his own schedule. We are his chosen people, and it is our faith that gives us hope that he will reach out to us in our times of need.
Mark 12:30-31(KJV) “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”
The first thing we must do, according to Jesus, loves our God with all of our hearts, mind, and strength. We must love and revere God since he has provided us with everything we require.
2 Timothy 1:9(KJV) “Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,”
Allow us to be aware of the truth and to behave in accordance with it. Otherwise, we shall have to pay costs in hell, and no one will come to save us. It is past time for all of us to repent and embrace Jesus as our Savior in order to defeat death.
Micah 6:8(KJV) “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”
God has only one expectation of us: to live a holy and decent life. We must throw off our fleshly wants and put on the new man, who was formed in God’s image.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20(KJV) “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
Christ has paid the price for Satan’s purchase. We are not to walk in sin anymore, but rather to renew our thinking in order to honor God. Christ must be presented to all in our life, and by doing so, we will show the world who is the one real living God.
Colossians 3:23(KJV) “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;”
Even though we are surrounded by men, we should nevertheless do our work for the Lord. We will have to stand before the judgment one day, therefore we must be cautious about the work we conduct.
