All kinds of sexual activity that God detests should be prohibited for God’s people. Jesus made it very clear that having lust in our hearts and committing adultery are both sins. Therefore, we shouldn’t do such a thing.
In times of judgement, the Lord will make them known since he sees into our hearts and has the capacity to read our minds and hearts. We should revere God and be afraid of him because of the good things he has done for us, not merely because of the judgement.
For us to enjoy communion with the Lord, our hearts must be pure and spotless. God rewards us and reveals his greatness to us when we submit to him and follow him obediently.
Let’s read and reflect on the following verses from the Bible, which serve as a warning concerning the repercussions of harbouring lust and adultery in our minds.
