God has commanded us to love everyone as equally as he loves each of us, thus we ought to maintain an attitude of acceptance toward others. Jesus asks us to have the kind of heart that we must have. From Jesus’ life, we can infer that he has the intention of welcoming everyone while he is on earth.
The Jews believed that God only loved the righteous, but Jesus showed them that God also loved sinners and that when they repented of their sins, it made heaven happy.
Because God made us in his likeness, we must have the mentality to love everyone and accept them into our lives. Discrimination of any type prevents us from referring to ourselves as God’s children.
As God’s children, we are expected to accept and love people in the same way that Jesus does. When we welcome others into our lives, we beg God to bless them as well as us.
The reasons for allowing others into our lives are explained in the following Bible scriptures. So let’s read them and reflect on them so that we might have the mental capacity to welcome others into our life.
