We ought to thank God for each and every day of our lives. The things we possess now are blessings from God. We often find that we have nothing when we compare ourselves to others. Human nature has a horrible tendency like this.
We must not assess ourselves in relation to others as God’s children. We are special in God’s eyes, and he distributes everything in accordance with his own purposes.
We must contend with the things that we have. Paul also says that he had learnt how to contend with his own things. This is what we also have to learn and teach our children so that they can be content with what they have.
