In this world, we suffer from different people at different times. Sometimes our very close friends hurt us which destroys our beautiful relationship. The Bible tells us that God is our closest friend and we will never suffer if we depend on him and obey his commands.
God says in his word he who has an unfaithful friend soon perishes but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
We may be hurt by friends because we are not pious or holy so we often make mistakes and our friends are hurt by our actions.
If we look at the life of Jesus, we can see that one of Jesus’ close friends betrayed him to his enemies. This incident teaches us that even friends can betray us. But Jesus never rebuked or cursed his friend in the same way that we too, are children of the Lord Jesus, we should never curse our friends but we should continue to pray for them so God will give them wisdom and good health.
When we are hurt by our friends, let us not retaliate or misbehave like the people of the world. Even though we have to go through difficult situations, we will show God’s love to our friends with smiling faces.
