Accepting Jesus Christ and confessing Him as our God means that we are made new and our old things are washed away because Jesus gives us new life. When we accept Jesus Christ, we accept his crucifixion and put off our fleshly desires, and put on the new man that God has created in his righteousness.
We forsake our sinful ways and remove all bad habits from our lives and God’s love and affection are revealed in our lives. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Being in Christ brings freedom from condemnation. Believers are justified and through faith in Jesus receive forgiveness of their sins and receive the gift of eternal life.
