We are living in a world where everything that attracts us is actually not good for us. We the Christians should not view this world with our physical eyes rather we are to see it with our spiritual eyes. Everything that seems good for us will not satisfy us for a long time but we will be only satisfied with Jesus.
The word of God strongly admonishes us not to follow the world because following the world means moving away from the Lord. We are to follow the Lord to have life.
In Philippians 3 Paul described how he viewed this world after knowing Jesus. He realized that running after this world does not give us any peace but it steals the joy from our hearts and put us in a position where we lose everything.
Let us be wise and live a life that Jesus has designed for us by reading the following scripture.
James 4:4(KJV) “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”
1 John 2:15-17(KJV) “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
