Because we live in a world of sin, physical pain and sickness will dominate us. In the Old Testament God promised His people that He would be their healer and He did so. On the other hand, when Lord Jesus was on earth, as a sign of his divine authority and mercy, he healed diseases among sick people.
Physical pain and suffering are the result of sin that entered this world through the disobedience of Adam and Eve. God has promised us that the new world he has created for us will have no physical pain and suffering but only joy where we will all live with God for eternity.
God gives importance to us receiving services through worldly medical treatment as we see in the book of Luke where Jesus commended a Samaritan who was personally a primary physician.
We need to remember that physical aches and pains are not the ends of us. God manifests His power through our physical pains and sufferings because through this we can better understand God’s presence and work.
So let us not only look at the suffering during the physical pain but we should look to the outside so that we can strengthen our minds by which we will be able to get through the difficult time easily.
