We get understanding and wisdom from the Bible. We are unable to distinguish between right and wrong without God’s understanding. When we reflect on God’s word, according to the Bible, we can make the proper decisions.
We are all born sinners and are unable to make the appropriate choices based on our knowledge. Without God’s direction, we will be unable to discern the proper path because there is nothing good in our flesh.
Proverbs 4:23 advises us to control our hearts because they are so important to our lives. We will experience more problems and never learn the truth if we base our decisions solely on our feelings.
Since the Holy Spirit will point us in the proper route, we should ask for His guidance. As a result, we must set our hearts upon God’s word, which will lead us in the direction of the truth and finally enable us to make the proper choices.
