The earth as we know it will one day be destroyed, just as the Lord predicted in his scripture. It was initially wiped off by flood in the days of Noah.
We can be confident that the promise of the destruction of the globe will come true in the near future because many other prophecies have already been fulfilled on the planet. It is imperative that every one of us make our own preparations in order to avert God’s anger.
The works of all the heavenly bodies will also cease, and they will all lose their splendor. When the time is right, God will personally annihilate the current earth with fire.

Malachi 4:1(KJV) For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
Hebrews 12:29(KJV) For our God is a consuming fire.
Isaiah 34:4(KJV) And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.
2 Peter 3:10(KJV) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Hebrews 12:27(KJV) And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
Genesis 6:17(KJV) And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and everything that is in the earth shall die.
Genesis 9:11(KJV) And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
