We are all familiar with Solomon’s wisdom. Because he was so young, Solomon was apprehensive when he was named king of Israel. Solomon asked the Lord for wisdom when he was given the opportunity to ask anything.
Knowledge and wisdom are not the same things. Whereas knowledge derives from the world, wisdom comes from above. In his day, Solomon was a fantastic leader who guided Israel with the knowledge he received from the Lord.
Many kings and queens used to come to see him learn from his wisdom. They were astounded at the wisdom that Solomon possessed, which he had received from God. With the use of his wisdom, Solomon ruled his realm.
We should read his writings because they will make us wiser and enable us to complete our tasks in accordance with God’s design. Let’s have a look at the following scriptures from the Bible to better understand how Solomon’s wisdom can help us live righteously on this planet.
Ecclesiastes 7:19(KJV) Wisdom strengtheneth the wise more than ten mighty men which are in the city.
Psalm 111:10(KJV) The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
Luke 21:15(KJV) For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
Proverbs 8:11(KJV) For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
1 Kings 4:29(KJV) And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
