The devil is constantly trying to take control of our minds. Our minds must be protected because they are the headquarters of our brains. The serpent tricked Eve in the Garden of Eden by targeting her mind.
As God’s children, we must learn to govern our minds and protect them against Satan’s traps. In order to keep our minds away from the world until death, we must sacrifice our desires before the Lord and embrace his teachings.
We shall be able to enter God’s kingdom that God has created for every one of us if we nourish our thoughts with God’s word.
Let us prepare ourselves with God’s word, which is provided here so that we can stand firm during temptations.
Isaiah 26:3(KJV) “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
Psalm 1:1-4(KJV) “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.”
Colossians 3:1-2(KJV) “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”
1 Corinthians 15:33(KJV) “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.”
Ephesians 4:22-24(KJV) “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
Philippians 2:5(KJV) “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.”
1 Peter 1:13(KJV) “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;”
Psalm 119:11(KJV) “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”
Proverbs 4:23(KJV) “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”
2 Corinthians 10:5(KJV) “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”
Romans 12:2(KJV) “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Proverbs 23:7(KJV) “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.”
Philippians 4:8(KJV) “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
Luke 6:45(KJV) “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.”
